Being essentially tired of working-July 2020
I’m not working any more mandatory and voluntary over time, for now as of July 24th; I’ve worked over 300 hours of overtime. I’ve felt that I’ve put enough time into where I work. That could change if something happens, like needing money for the holiday season or falling behind, and I” m back to mandatory OT. I think at least for the summer season, I’m putting working over my forty hours a week on pause.
So, what does that mean for me, besides free time to type up for blog posts? More time to catch up on my home life. I’ll need to prepare for winter. It’s crazy to think that it’s about two months till fall, then its winter. Time moves faster than I realize. It means just going to my closet, draws and getting rid of stuff I have. Making sure that I’m ready for winter travel in my car. I’ve been lucky as the last two winters where I live went terrible. Maybe I’m feeling superstitious, but I got a bad feeling about this upcoming winter. I don’t plan to go out when it’s awful weather or storming, but I want to be ready if I have to go out.
It also means more time for garage sales and flea markets. It’s one of my favorite summertime hobbies, looking for other people’s trash. Well, One man’s junk is another man’s treasure. I do this for two reasons: one, to continue building my video game collection up, two to flip on eBay. Sometimes I have great luck and get items on the cheap. Other times, I have to haggle the product down. It’s a thrill that I love to do this activity because I never know what I’m going to find or what I’m going to get. Plus, I get out and explore, which is fun, and I discover more locale that I might not have known existed.
I’m hoping to shoot some video this month. I did buy some extra accessories for my mobile photography. I got a shotgun microphone and a portable spotlight. I want to shoot more photos and videos when I’m out. Photo’s I’ve got an idea and aren’t complicated to find. But I don’t know what to shoot for videos. I’ll come up with something I’m sure of it. I used to do reaction and reviews of films, and I may start doing that again, I need to watch a movie again. You can check out my Instagram Page and My Youtube Page to see what I’ve already done.
I’ve got some game blogs coming up. I haven’t done movie blogs in a while and should go back to doing them again. I can’t watch movies at home sometimes. It’s a weird kick I have that I need to blog and watch cinema in theaters. There are plenty of ways to view at home and more accessible. It’s also easier to take notes than try to remember items from the movie on the fly. It’s just a difference. Have you ever seen advertisements when you watch a film in theaters to see it on the big screen? It discourages you from watching movies at home. It might come off as propaganda, but there is some truth. Something about watching a movie on a big screen is different than watching it at home. I’m not fully there yet mentally, but I might post a movie blog up this month.
