Hey Everyone
I wanted to do another monthly update. It’s early because, at the time of this post, it’s not yet September. I did have an opportunity to put out a post that I’m working on for Spider-man 2018 on Labor Day. I reason that date, September 7th, will be the two month anniversary of Spiderman 2018 release. So I have an update to this week.
Things have been busy for me for the last few weeks. My overtime at work came back two weeks after it ended. I’m going until further notice. It’s rather frustrating, but I’ve got a groove that I could get a post done every week at 10 AM Monday. It’s hell on my free time, as next weekend, I have a garage sale I’m selling items and old items that I don’t need anymore, a spring/summer cleanout. Anything I don’t sell, I’m donating. It’s late spring cleaning, but an overdue cleanout and possibly making some side money.
I haven’t seen any new or old movies lately. Movie theaters are opening up here again, and I’m not entirely on board to see any film at a movie theater. With COVID still a threat and I live with two elderly parents, I don’t feel that the risk is worth it. I believe that people can’t be responsible when it comes to taking care of themselves, their health, or caring for the health of others. I wouldn’t put it past anyone to go out with the Coronavirus and tested if they had the virus or not. Even with the testing and cleaning supposedly taking place, it’s not enough for me to trust it. But how much can anyone trust this done correctly? Especially when it gets busy. I used to work as a movie theater manager, and my higher up is all about making cuts to staff and saving money, even as movie revenue was climbing before the pandemic. I left several years ago, but from what I heard, it’s still the same thinking and will be worse as they are reopening and showing movies. The bottom line is what is going to win out, probably sooner than later. Could I be swayed to go back one day? Maybe, even before a vaccine can be created. But watching movies at some seems to be the better option for me to do. Safer and I don’t have to worry if I want out. Did I get the Coronavirus because I wanted to watch a movie and bring it home to my parents?
I’m trying to tweak my site whenever I can. I now have my contact within my about section. This action cleans up and saves some room in the menu bar of my blog. I’ve also might combine my Video Games and Escape Rooms into a gaming menu category. It just requires me the time to put this together with how I’d like it. I’m also trying to work on my social media presence. I’ve started to work on and created a Facebook page. Right now, it’s a bare basic as it can be. You can check it out here. I’m trying to work on a logo, but I haven’t found a style that I like right now. Everything that I’m doing is a slow work in progress. If and when I can, I should have something set up more before the end of the year, maybe sooner, but it all determines when I can get the extra day back.
Speaking of blogs that I wanted to do, I’m not sure if I’ll do the “visiting Main Street” series the I’d like to do. It all falls back to working. I’m not sure if I had mentioned, but I have to drive seventy miles out trip a day. I want to try to squeeze one out before the end of the year, but I’m not going to make any promises. Traveling was one that I was looking forward to doing. To get out and discover towns and cities big and small. – Unfortunately, it might have to wait until next year. But I do want to and plan to have more travel done by mean way or another. I traveled to New York a few weeks ago, but I didn’t have enough to do a blog that I’d be happy with and have a blog I wanted to post. I only went to two places when I was there and spent time at my sister’s house with my nephew and sister for most of the trip.
My Video game blogging is still going well. As I said, I have a Spiderman video game blog coming next week. I’m currently playing Paper Mario The Origami King and Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. I’m also looking to blog NES Games that Nintendo offers. The NES Games services might not be favorable with most, but I do like what they offer. As when I have any of the games that I listed in a blog post, I’m not sure. If anything, I most likely will have Bloodstained done and published and then Origami King.
