Continuing my look into E3 2019 this year, next is Nintendo and their exclusive games that are coming to the Nintendo Switch. (All trailers are from Nintendo’s youtube page)
Luigi’s Mansion 3
I want to start and say there was one thing that bothered me about the series. The way that Mario got captured in Luigi’s Mansion and Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon. It was as simple as how Peach always got kidnapped by Bowser. If it was Bowser, I could understand, but King Boo? That aside, I did like Luigi’s Mansion, and I would pick this game up. I’ll give them somewhat new story content as it’s a hotel and you have to save Mario, Peach, Toads, and maybe other mushroom kingdom characters. I’m kind of weirded out on the concept of Goouigi. I don’t understand why Mario can’t be a player two and Luigi being player one, but I’ll go along with this concept. I like the new slam attack (but can’t grasp how you slam a nonphysical enemy) and want to see more of what the game is going to offer.

Trails of Mana and Collection of Mana
An entire game series I’ve never played and always wanted to. They all looked great. I really should and want to play them. I just wish I had more free time to do so.
Animal Crossing New Horizons
I don’t know much about Animal Crossing, but it’s apparently a well-loved games series. I’m glad that Nintendo put this out for its fans, less they sent fans of the series into a frenzy. I got a relaxing feeling when I see this game in action. The game looks like you are on a deserted Island and from what I can assume, you have to build up an island with inhabitants and a place to live. I’ve always wanted to play any game in this series as it seems like to destress from most of the game I can play that can cause frustration or if I’m having a rough day.
Link’s Awakening
The game is a really detailed looking update to the Game Boy game of Link’s Awakening. It’s very colorful, and I’m going to assume there might not be much more to the game other than a reskin of the Game Boy The Dungeon created looks fun and can make for some exciting user dungeons. I hope that this would have online functionality. I would try other dungeons that were created by others. There is an Amiibo to collect, and the game will have Amiibo feature with the other Legend of Zelda Amiibos.
Astral Chain
From Platinum Games, this game has you fighting invaders from other dimensions that threaten mankind. I like the look of the game and that idea that you can capture an enemy have that enemy become a Legion WHich is a follower you attacks and fights for you. This game looks great, but I want to try a demo of the game before I can commit to saying I’m on board with this game. I’m wondering how Bayonetta 3 is coming along?
No More Heroes 3
Travis Touchdown returns to what I can only assume to become the number one assassin again in this game. I’ve only played No More Heroes and enjoyed playing that game. I missed out on the other games and hope that Mo More Heroes one and two will be released on the Switch as a refresher to the series. I also hope that motion controls will be implemented for this game as well. I kind of feel that the violence in the game is going to be turned down quite a bit.

Two New Smash Bros Fighters Announced
Smash Bros had the announcement of the Hero from Dragon Quest as a fighter. I did see this new leaked somewhere, so I’m not surprised. The biggest surprise to me and everyone was the announcement of Banjo Kazooie in Smash. I didn’t see that coming at all since well since Banjo is technically Microsoft property. Still, an excellent decision and wonder if this is leading to more collaborations between Microsoft and Nintendo. It was also an excellent fan service to everyone asking for Banjo Kazooie to fight in smash since Super Smash Bros Melee.

Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Sequel
As really cool looking, exciting and pretty much out of nowhere and unexpected news this was, it’s still a teaser. Granted, I’m not going to be as “I need gameplay” as I said with Halo and Gears in my last post since this game was just announced and those games were announced in the previous year. It’s a really creepy feeling trailer. What I can only assume this game will be like what Majora’s Mask will be to Ocarina of Time and maybe having a more disturbing tone. The trailer had music that sounded like it was playing backward. Ganon might not be as dead as we first thought with corruption that was spewing out from Ganon’s body. I’m curious as to how to overworked, and all the abilities that Link gained throughout his journey in Breath of the Wild will just disappear or not.

It was a good E3 for Nintendo, and I liked that they dedicated this E3 to many games instead of just one game like they did for Super Smash Bros last year. They announced other 3rd party games that have been out for a while that I’m glad they are getting like Resident Evil 5 and 6, (Thought they showed a scary trailer for what I think is the least scary games in the franchise) The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Complete Edition, Alien Isolation, and Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch. The remake of Panzer Dragoon looked beautiful as well.
